Interstate 10 West

Pensacola, FloridaJan 01, 20011 Comments

East of Pensacola speed limit is 70 or is it 55? only the Highway Patrol knows you guess when and where. Cost for me was $48.50..Lots of cars pulled over all at once. My first speeding ticket anywhere in the US in 28 years of driving.

Comments:
How can a clearly and logically marked Interstate be considered a speed trap? I drive this stretch daily and it is clearly marked from Avalon Blvd all the way through Pensacola. The problem is that westbound traffic has been a couple of hundred miles at 70 and they just do not slow down as the beginning of the congestion begins and speed limits are correspondingly lowered. Where the troopers set up is 5-6 miles after the 55 area begins. We locals appreciate them slowing down the road rocket through traffic.
