Interstate 14 North near Ave. M Avenue

Lancaster, CaliforniaDec 13, 20070 Comments

Highway patrol in Lancaster has a new toy. It is a long distance radar. They stand on the bridge that passes over the 14 fwy at ave. M, and aim their new gun South. They can get you from a long way away, so after you pass Ave. N, they got you, but you will not see the officer until you are right under him. There are a string of patrol cars sitting on the on-ramp behind the bridge. The officer standing on the bridge radios the info to the first patrol car in line. That patrol car conducts the stop. The officer on the bridge stays where he is to tag the next victim. This is always done in the day time, and most frequently on weekends.
