Interstate 20 near Interstate 520

Augusta, GeorgiaMar 28, 20062 Comments

Augusta recently bought a laser radar gun and use it quite a lot in teams. They have one officer with the laser who clocks all cars and up to eight officers up the road, usually parked on the on-ramps, which receive the calls to stop from the first car. When they finish the ticket, they return to the on-ramp and get back in line. Regular posted speed limits with very low tolerance for exceeding.

Comments:
Notice : The procedure of using one officer to run speed checks, then communicate violations to other officers standing by so they can write the motorist a ticket IS NOT LEGAL. The officer who is operating the speed testing device MUST, by law, be the officer who issues the citation and testifies in court. If you are issued a citation under these circumstances, by all means, go to court and question the officer who issued the citation as to whether or not he was the officer operating the speed testing device. If he only wrote the citation based on the word of another officer, the judge MUST dismiss the case. Georgia is the most corrupt state in the U.S.A.!
