Interstate 20 near Mile Marker 14-18

I-20 Westbound .. GSP has been in median past 4 weekends on Saturday mainly. Got a ticket for 89/70 when in actuality, my GPS unit showed Max Speed of 74MPH for a full 163 miles of my trip, so not sure if his unit was in calibration or not, or he shot the big truck that just passed me flying low and I got pulled for it ..

Am wondering if GSP = Georgia State Patrol, and if so, why they are sitting on the median of a SC highway, as stated above.
