Trooper Seating in curve

Comments:
Absolute caution should be taken once you start down the hill. There's two main places they camp out on the east bound side of I-26. The first is about halfway down the mountain where the right hand shoulder opens up a lot (right after the break in the tree line that offers a great view off the side of the mountain). Then the second has already been stated, right at the bottom of the grade. In my experience, at the very least, half the time I come down this way a trooper is waiting to earn the state some money by handing out tickets...

This is most definitely a speed trap. The radar (Lidar) unit sits near the bottom of the grade and the pickup patrol units pull people over in the Columbus/Tryon exit ramp. There are as many as five pickup units at times. Not only do they earn the state some money but aftr being ticketed you will receive as many as five to seven Advertisements for legal services from local attorneys from nearby towns. These adsrelate all of the bad things that can happen if you do not use their service in the local court.
