Interstate 271 near Interstate 77

This report actually applies to several locations around the region, but I see the eye in the sky most often over the area near the I-271 and I-77 interchange. The local PD will request the aircraft and staties will join the frey at will. The pilot will pace up to 4 vehicle at one time for 2 miles each. The section of high is broken into at least 3 calibrated 1 mile sections. You can see the hash marks on the shoulder of the highway. These hash marks are re-measured on a regular basis to prevent calculation error. From what I understand, the pilot has lost one contested case in 25 years. So beware, if you are heading south down I-271 you better start to slow down once you get past Rt 303 as the trap starts only about a mile further down the road. If you see the plane circling overhead, you’ll know what to expect.
