Interstate 29 near Power Plant
Just south of the Council Bluffs city limits. Usually one marked Iowa Highway Patrol vehicle, with two others that have no top light bars. They seem to work a ‘gauntlet’ from CB to Glenwood. On occasion, there might even be a ‘bear in the air.’ The speed limit decreases from 70 mph to 55 mph just as you enter Council Bluffs heading north. They’ve been known to get people in this particular area also.

When you see that drop to 55 it'd be wise to slow right then because at that point there won't be a patrolman in sight because the elavation level is too high. The road level drops right after the sign and THEN the police will be in plain view and whatever your speed is will be noted.
