Interstate 290 East near Interstate 495 North & South
The officers/staties like to park at the end of I-290 heading east, they park on the right side of the highway in the break down lane. You won’t see them until you get over a hill just past the 495 south bound off ramp…

This is definitely a speed trap. The speed limit is 65 mph as 290 approaches the ramps for 495 north & south. Then, just before the southbound ramp, there is a 45 mph sign. Less than 500 feet ahead, the troopers are camped with the radar or laser guns. It's impossible to get down to the speed limit before they have you. There are NO signs warning of a reduced speed limit.
A friend on the shoreline of CT, upon hearing that I had a speeding ticket in MA but no idea where, said that the only speeding ticket she ever received "was where I-290 crosses I-495," this exact location! And this from the most cautious anxious person I've ever met!
Definitely a devious speed trap!
