Interstate 35 near Runberg Lane
Austin Police Department must be starving for cash, because lately I notice an increase number of speed traps and frequency of cops stopping speeders.
In the morning, Cops usually set up trap at I-35 & Runberg, they would park a unmark or DPS truck at the large parking next to the Taco truck that park there daily. From this position they would observe traffic going North on I-35 Research. If there is a speeding vihicle, the cruisers or bicycles up a head is ready to pick them up.
Then after you pass Breaker Lane, enter Yager Lane exit, ther’s another trap. Cops love the bush cover and usually hide their cruisers behind the bush in the clear field, and up about 800 feet up north is the HEB entrance at the curve which is perfect spot to hid, I’ve seen them parked their frequently.
When going south in ther morning, there’s very little place to set up trap on this stretch between Parmer and Runberg. Usually people are caught by bicycle cops using lazer guns.
