Interstate 35W near FM 114

Not sure where the actual town of Northlake is, don’t think there is one. There is a Northlake Police Dept. however, created specifially to mine about a 5 mile stretch of I35 between 114 and 1171. They have an SUV with all the bells and whistles and a camaro along with the plain cop cars. Been lucky so far and not been ticked however I drive that stretch of road frequently and there are nearly always people pulled over. One trick that a friend witnessed. Two Northlake cops were pulled over to the side of the highway actually in the grass with their blue and reds flashing talking to each other, when a car didn’t move to the outside lane, one of the cops chased him down and pulled him over, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle I’m guessing.

Comments:
I live near Northlake and one time I got on I35 from fm 407 heading south, @ 7am on a Sun morning so traffic was very light, but right at the fm1171 exit a Northlake cop car sat on the outside shoulder well away from the solid line, with his lights flashing. No car. So as I approached I moved over to the left but down towards the speedway he came flying up behind me w/ lights flashing. he told me I didn't change lanes when I passed him. I then stated that all the freeway message boards display that motorists are to slow 20 mph under the posted speed limit OR move over. Rather than argue I take my ticket. Having a CDL I'm required to obtain an attorney. This cost me $250 for this atty. & $250 fine. $500 for BIG brother. $250 towards a new police station and out of that mobile home they have now.
