Interstate 40 near 5 miles east of east of shamrock

Shamrock, TexasJul 26, 20051 Comments

In Texas better watch for speed limit sign’s. Those limit’s are enforcenced hard. As I was going east on I-40 I came over a hill and didn’t see the speed limit sign read 65 at night, 75 during the day. Well I was nailed just past that sign. Hwy patrol pulled us over and out of nowhere wanted ID’s from everyone and decided to have us unload our luggage, tool’s and we had our 12 yr old in the car with no coat and the cop told the kid don’t move. He looked in our car which he asked for consent to search and I stopped him and said you better call a supervisor. He then told me I’ll do what want when I want. I told him you just made a big mistake and we said were leaving and be ready to loose your job. The next day I made a call and he is no longer a cop. So all in all no ticket issued and so watch it in Shamrock, Texas.

Comments:
Someone else does not have their facts together. Speed limit has never been 75 on I-40 through the Texas panhandle.
