Interstate 40 near Exit Number 80
Ten mile west and five miles east of this exit there is a very heavy volume of traffic citations issued. The enforcement appears not to be exploitive, but it is the heavest between Memphis and Nashville. Posted speed limit is reasonable (65 MPH) for amount of traffic in this area.

Use caution when entering Madison County (Jackson, Tn. area) on Interstate 40 because the Tennessee Highway Patrol headquarters is located right next to the interstate and there are plenty of troopers, some even hiding behind the overpasses!
