The City of Micanopy is not a classic speed trap, but you should approach with caution, especially at the US 441 and CR 324 intersection. CR 324 goes straight to I-75. It's more than a mile long with a gentle curve, and looks like the kind of rural road that begs for speed. I always assume that there's a patrol in or near the US 441 intersection. I think the highway patrol just hangs out in this area while they're waiting to be called to an I-75 incident. And as for the city designation, Florida's legal designation for any incorporated area is 'city', even if the place is no bigger than a town.
