Must agree with writer regarding enforcement around the state capitol (Salem) being "politics" driven.
Insult to injury - the Marion County Sheriff's "Traffic Safety Unit" is financed entirely by fines and bail forfeitures. One guess what said financing does to officer motivation to write more and more citations. Unit operates "marked" cars and m.c.'s and several unmarked Mustangs.
All told, these enforcement programs represent the very worst of public policy.
