Interstate 57 near pulaski county
during summer, we have observed these officer rise from bushes in the highway median with radar guns, hiding on overpasses, and flat out lying about speeders. people from all over the US are in their courts for 1/4 stretch of interstate…then everyone has to appear in court mid week and all are guilty….this is their only means of income….then charge outrageous fees for processing…

Just about anywhere on I-57 in Pulaski County, Illinois is a speed trap. Not sure why they keep getting away with it.
I totally agree, Officer (name omitted) in his unmarked white car just waiting for you to come in from Missouri and cross the poorest marked section of I-57 for construction from the Missouri Line to Bloomington, Il. That section of road doesn't (or didn't) meet even the barest minimum of IDOT regulations for construction zones on Interstate highways. Where else do you see the county deputy out patroling (er-r-r Make that hiding) just waiting to grab the unsuspecting motorist.
