Interstate 70 near State Route 142
Going eastbound toward Columbus, just after you go under the State Route 142 overpass (exit number 85, Plain City), there is a sweeping curve as you cross the Big Darby Creek. Just after the small bridge, there is an “emergency vehicle turn around” in the median. I travel this route at least twice a week now (usually on the weekends), and used to travel this route daily, and I have regularly seen an OSHP patrol car there (sometimes two). The speed limit is the normal 65, and they usually aren’t too strict, as I generally go past at about 70 (once at 75, and I was very surprised that I didn’t get pulled over), but once I was pulled over, going under 65 because the roads were a little slick, for reasons other than speeding. I have only seen them clocking eastbound drivers here, probably because westbound drivers have a long, clear line of sight to the spot where they sit.
