Information about this trap are incorrect, as Lake Station does not come anywhere near Cline Ave. & the area on 80/94 where the speedlimit drops from 70 to 55 is east of Portage.

The drop in the speed limit is halfway between the Portage (249) exit, and the Lake Station (Ripley) exit, on top of a railroad overpass. West of Portage, east of Lake Station. It was moved there in Spring of 2009, as the speed drop used to be located further east, at the exit for Chesterton (49). Many GPS's will still tell you the speed drop is at Chesterton.

Comment #2 is correct. The speed limit drop used to be about a mile east of Ind 49, but it has been moved to west of Portage. This is a fairly recent change. Comment #1 is probably from before the change, but it is correct that Cline Avenue is nowhere near Lake Station and is actually about 4 exits WEST of the Lake Station exit, a matter of maybe 6 miles or so.
