Interstate 83 North near Exit Number 18

Cockeysville, MarylandJul 18, 20061 Comments

As you exit from I-83 Northbound onto Warren Road (exit 18), the speed limit drops to 45mph. There has been a speedtrap setup at the bottom of the hill, on the righthand side. Right after you pass the "Reduce Speed" signs and go around a bend, you will come into view of the radar. If you haven’t already slowed down, it is too late. Hardly anyone is doing 45 since the average speed on I-83 is at least 65 and the exit is not an extremely tight turn. So be aware of what might be there.

Comments:
this exit is a speedway I travel it almost everyday and have not seen a police car there. Why, They cannot set up Radar Traps if the limit is over 40 mph after the Howard County Police Officer was ran over at night trying to step out to flag someone down. I guess firemen should not go ito burning buildings either. This is a joke. You may see one now and then but I have not seen anyone pulled over.
