Interstate 84

Wappingers Falls, New YorkFeb 25, 20081 Comments

The top of Stormville mountain heading east. There is a wooded median heading east. State Troopers sit in the woods facing eastbound traffic. Snow on the ground does not matter, especially if in a Bronco. They also sit just east of there in the median under an overpass. I see them almost daily & ALWAYS see them with some one (if not several) people pulled over at once. I have seen several troopers at a time there too. ALSO, in between exit 17 & 18, they recently re-added lines on the highway which would indicate that air patrols will probably be around in good days. I have also seen troopers sitting on the shoulder of the highway between 17 & 19 both east & west bound.

Comments:
I-84, at the top of Stormville Mountain is 15 miles from Wappingers Falls. An area where speed enforcement is pretty active by the New York State Police but no-where near Wappingers Falls. It's in the Town of Kent, NY.
