Interstate 880 near State Highway 237

Southbound 880 at the 237/ Calaveras intersection. While traveling southbound 880 there is a HOV flyover to the 237 west. This is also where the southbound 880 HOV lane ends. The Highway Patrol officer sits between the concrete barrier and the "End HOV" sign with his radar. Since is a long horizontal curve you don’t see him until he has you on radar. This spot is where traffic gets moving after the westbound 237 cars turn off. He is looking for the carpool violators and lead foots like myself. There is an officer there in the morning at least once a week during my daily commutes. Enjoy.

Comments:
Also late at night, southbound 880, 1am to 4am, just before the left side exit for westbound 237, Highway Patrol will park in the center of the freeway, all lights off, and tag cars coming towards him in the #1 lane. He's there most nights and every weekend.
