Interstate 90 near Lincoln city limit sign

Lincoln, NebraskaAug 28, 20072 Comments

Coming from the west, just east of the gas station the speed limit changes from 65 to 55 as you enter Lincoln. Squadrols coming from the opposite direction will tag you. Especially if you just leave the gas station and are unaware of the limit change

I did not know Interstate 90 was in Nebraska

It isn't ... this is a typo ... Also, this is not up to date ... It should be I-80 ... and the speed limit no longer slows down to 55 along this stretch of interstate highway ... however Nebraska State Troopers love to frequent the area near the turnoff ramp at exit 397 because they can catch speeders going eastbound or westbound. However, they are also there because there is a bend in the highway and people need to slow down to 55 mph before they take it, as it is a dangerous curve ... so they're there for motorist safety, too.
