Interstate 90 near Sullivan Street

Spokane, WashingtonJun 12, 20072 Comments

Enforcement starts East of the Sullivan Overpass where the speed limit is 70. When wx is suitable, WSP aircraft (verified by my scanner) are using VASCAR to alert all types of marked and unmarked WSP vehicles/motorcycles with information about speeding, following too close, "agressive driving". The WSP is putting Tons of resources into this "project". Most patrolled areas are from Argone East to Mile Maker 296.

Comments:
Anyone getting a ticket here damn sure deserves it. I drive this daily working and its very well marked. Changes from 70 to 60 west bound and hardly anyone slows down. East bound everyone wants to speed up to 70 at Sullivan where its clearly marked 60 and doesn't change until you go under the underpass at Barker Road. Just read the signs people. The state patrol could write tickets here 24/7 and still people would speed.

This is most definitely a speed trap. I just got nabbed this afternoon doing 74 in the 60 right through this area. I took a chance and needless to say I'm now the owner of a hefty speeding ticket. Slow down everyone!
