There is highway construction on the southbound lane just south of Exit 4 (Putney). While officers are frequently there with their car lights flashing as a warning, recently they have been checking speed with radar and giving out tickets. Fines are double the usual fines. The speed limit has been temporarily reduced to 55. It’s a tough place to slow down quickly and the traffic moves along quickly, usually over 55. I don’t think this is an unfair speed trap, but be warned that they are ticketing.
