Interstate 91 near White River Junction

White River Junction, VermontJun 08, 20041 Comments

Speed limit drops from 65 to 55… Cops wait on the side of the highway to get you right after the speed limit change.

Comments:
Large parts of 91 are completely un-lit. Police sit at the U-turn in darkness at the bottoms of hills. As cars reach the bottom of the hill, when the speed limit conveniently drops, the police throw all their lights on, blinding the on coming driver, and do a sudden U-turn right in front of the on coming car. I was almost killed by a Vermont state policeman doing this. This is the opposite of public safety. If you live out of state, you have no practical recourse to contest a ticket. This system is a dangerous joke.
