Interstate I-70 near Mile Marker 171
From Vail Pass to Wolcott there can be speed traps.
Dowd Junction is one of the most coomon places to see speed traps, especially just after mile marker 171 heading westbound.

In fact, it is Mile Marker 170, relevant as it is just beyond a curve
This is a speed trap, but there is good reason. I was filling out paper when a simi hit my bus and ran, the trooper working the call told me that the mile of I70 at Dowd Junction holds the record for most accidents in the US. I saw a 27 car pile up there. Just slow down there and save your money and perhaps your life.
