Irondequoit Bridge, Rt. 104

Rochester, New YorkNov 01, 20011 Comments

Cops sit at both ends of the bridge and catch cars coming down the hill onto Irondequoit Bridge. It is 3 lanes wide but is only 55mph. Traffic regularly tavels above 70mph. Mostly laser, some radar. They usually set up a speed trap during morning rush hour at least once a week.

Comments:
104 west is downhill coming up to the bridge. You almost naturally gain speed here. The bridge itself is a straight, tempting quarter mile but don't fall for it. Think of yourself as a fish. In a barrel. Being shot. They do it all day long.
