Junction of 112N with Colrain-Shelburne RD
At the bottom of the hill, the speed changes from 40 – 20. It’s virtually impossible to reach 20 mph as the grading of the hill is very steep. Especially in ski season, the local cops like to sit around the corner on the right, by the grain store, and catch out-of-staters as they zip down the hill. They will also sit at the Elementary school on the left after the bridge and on the left at the cemetary. (Both on 112) from the center of Colrain to the Vermont border it is very well policed during ski season. They have a Ford explorer looking thing-that’s usually the vehicle pulling people over.
