just south of I-10 on Highway 80
As one exits I-10 at Exit 5 at Road Forks going south on Highway 80, there is a straight stretch of highway with very little traffic that has a 55 mph speed limit. Usually there is a state trooper or Hidalgo County Sheriff’s car parked along that stretch.

Was heading north on 80 at 9 at night. Don't know where they have the signs posted did not see any . New car with out of state plates. I was doing between 60 and 65, got pulled over. said I was going 70. I have a CDL , never had a speeding ticket in my life. There were two sheriffs. One in a truck that looks like Border patrol and one in a car. To try to fight the ticket you have to bring a lawyer from out of town. From what I am finding out about the county this is the only way they make money, and I get to lose my job.
