Just South Of The Railroad Overpass

The town pops up out of nowhere with an almost instant 20 MPH reduction in the speed limit. Lakeville and LaPaz are only a couple of miles apart and neither ones patrolling force is big on warning tickets. Lakeville has it’s own fine collection program. The benefit is that the ticket will not be reported if the fine is paid at the Lakeville Town Hall before an approximate 2 week period after the ticket is issued. If it is not paid in that period it goes to court like any other ticket.

Comments:
I do not understand how Lakeville can make up it's own rules as far as the tickets go. Who benefits from their aggressiveness monetarily? The town? I am all for slowing down going through small towns and it should not be a big problem to slow down unless you are going over the highway speed limit to begin with.
