Kirtland Chardon Road near Booth Road

Kirtland, OhioAug 28, 20072 Comments

Kirtland PD hides in hidden driveways of residence, the fire station, and mutiple metro park locations. Kirtland PD must turn their vehicles off and run radar multiple times during their 8 hour shifts. Kirtland Chardon Rd has a downhill grade if coming from Chardon.

Comments:
This area most definitely is a speed trap. I live near this area and have had friends who have gotten caught there. I know it's hard to drive around this area, so just be careful when going through this area. The police in this small town thrive on handing out tickets. Don't you be one of them.

I travel this road to work in Mentor and have counted 13 different places Kirtland PD uses on this short stretch of road. I agree it's only one of two ways to get into Mentor quickly. Anything 5 mph over the limit and your pushing it. They also do not honor FOP cards! The only good thing is the over enforcement has led to less frequent radar traps as locals now know the hiding places and more closely mointor their speed.
