Knob Hill Road near Bennett Street

San Marcos, CaliforniaOct 17, 20072 Comments

There is an elementary school on Knob Hill Road between Bennett and Nordahl. During the AM rush, there have been officers tracking and ticketing anyone driving over 25 mph. Knob Hill is a major thoroughfare and many motorists pick up speeds of at least 40mph.

Comments:
Tsk tsk. Anyone familiar with the school rush hour during mornings or afternoons knows it has such bad grid lock that NO ONE can speed then even if they wanted to. The Sheriff's Deputies are there for other reasons. Trust me, speeding is not the main problem.... And Knob Hill is not a major thoroughfare. It's a medium artery at best.

It may not be a "major thoroughfare", but it is used quite a bit to get to COSTCO and Wal-Mart. I got a ticket there last year; the sheriff was sitting right at the bottom of the hill...at 1:33 P.M. No children present, no motor vehicle or pedestrian traffic...just the sheriff and me! Came the court date, he was a no-show, so I got a dismissal. I drive m-u-c-h slower down that hill now. Thank you, Sheriff!
