Lake Ida Road near Delray Lakes Drive

Delray Beach, FloridaFeb 07, 20051 Comments

Only done occasionally, maybe once or twice every two months or so. Generally 3 or more police cruisers parked in the exit side of the Delray Lakes Community (just east of I-95, bordered by low gray walls). Hard to spot from a distance from either direction, because of wall and curve of road from east and I-95 from the west. Speed limit is 35 but this is a hold-over from when Lake Ida was one lane each way (now 2 each) so it is easy to speed, especially since this stretch is relatively straight and the turns leading to it are wide.

Comments:
Per Delray Beach police, 35 MPH is the MAX speed limit in ALL residential Delray neighborhoods, regardless of how many traffic lanes, divided or not, etc. This is a candidate for a trap ALSO because the street is a school zone.
