Geneva On The Lake is well reknown for pulling anyone over saying the driver went left of center, TWICE. Has happened to me 2 times. Never was I issued a ticket. On my motorcycle (BMW) I was stopped in the middle of the road and given a stern talking to, only to find out when they ran my plate as I was going by them, they had the wrong plate number. A facist indeed.

Geneva on the lake has part time cops that work for minimum wages , they take their training from the sheriffs dept -- being political resort town which is only open for business three months out of the year, they have to make all they can in season -- the top town officials make big money for what they do so hence all traffic tickets go into the general fund to spend as they deem fit -- most of the police , this is their first job so they do all they can to look good on their resume so they can gain employment else where and go to the state police academy hence the rate of tickets per population is high -- very corrupt and biased -- best advice - don't go there
