Lakewood Ave. The Speed limit is 25. There is a School a block off the road. The speed limit should be 35 . That is a standard in most towns .

That is Lakeview Ave and the speed limit has been 25 for the last 25 years. And with good reason. Homes are located very close to this road and folks walk along this road. Also is is a high traffic area. In most cases a vehicle is not stopped unless the vehicle exceed 35. If the the speed limit was raised to 35 them the folks on this road would be contenting with vehicles going 45. So, get with it and slow down. the time differents is less than 2 minutes.
The standard speed limit on back roads in cities all around this area is 25mph and has been as long as I can remember. I have no idea what you are talking about when you say "most towns".
