Sorry, but the speed limit on LWR Blvd. is set at 35 because there are Sandhill Cranes, deer, and other wildlife that share the road. Most drivers ignore it anyway and as a result there are fewer and fewer of said wildlife out and about for residents to enjoy. Sandhill Cranes mate for life. I've seen one get hit by a car. Its mate stood over it for quite a while clearly in distress. They simply move too slow for drivers to go faster than 35. I've also seen deer hit by speeders and they are faster moving animals. The bottom line is that 35 is a reasonable speed limit for LWR Blvd. If you ask me there are never enough cops on LWR Blvd. It should be a speed trap since everyone is always in such a hurry.
