The entire town of Monteagle TN is a 35-mph speedtrap. The town police hiding or patrolling with radar 24-7 happily cite visitors traveling at a perfectly safe for conditions – and legal in most other jurisdictions – speed, e.g., 46 mph on the wide 4 lane highway through the middle of this sleepy little town, or likewise on the state highway with speed limit 45 mph just outside the city limits.
