Lee Highway (US-29)

Cops usually hide on N. Powhatan Street (the one after– if you’re heading West– Ottawa Street and John Marshall). Since that part of Lee Highway (US-29) is on a hill, people have a tendency to speed.

Comments:
I was driving on this road this morning. I was in the left hand lane (west bound) and there were several cars around me appearing to be going at the same speed. The cop came out of nowhere and stopped in the middle of the road. He had a handheld radar gun. He signaled for me to take a left and he asked the car in the right hand lane to take a right. At first, I figured that I was being pulled over, but then after five minutes of waiting, I wasn't sure if he was really pulling me over or just asking me to get out of the way so I wouldn't run him over. I wish I looked to see if the cars behind me were also asked to take a left. He never looked at my car once after asking me to turn. He seemed occupied giving the other car the ticket. So I drove off. Will I get a ticket in the mail?
