Lido Boulevard

Lido Beach, New YorkMar 07, 20071 Comments

This 6 lane Blvd. opens up. You look for a speed limit sign. You see a 30 mph sign. It’s too late, the radar is from where the road opens up before the mph sign. You see the sign slow down, then the police pull out and tell you to pull over. Further down the Blvd. written on the pavement there’s the speed limit written again. It’s very confusing, such a big wide blvd. only 30 miles per hour.

Comments:
Not confusing if you know the history of the road. Several fatal accidents on Lido Blvd through the years. And a known site for street racing. That's why they dropped the limit to 40, and then to 30 once you hit the residential section of the strip.
