Lodgeville Road

Speed limit is 40 which is unreasonable due to the fact that the incline on the hill is the highest allowed by the highway department. Going down hill you have to hold your brakes continuously and going up hill you have to travel so slow that it’s hard to make it up the hill. This is a new by pass route to avoid getting on and off the Interstate.

Comments:
The speed limit is 40 and the incline is steep and thats why you have brakes on your vehicle or you can down shift to a lower gear and if you can't climb it at 40 then your having mechanical trouble and should have your car checked. My experience is that most everybody is traveling well over 40, not just a little over, most are doing well over 50 and if your traveling 40-45 your being pushed down the hill or being passed, even though there is no passing zone. This is not a bypass for the interstate it's considered a city street, but everybody travels interstate speed. There are two hidden intersections on the steep part and thats why the speed limit is 40. I don't know why anybody travels across Lodgeville Rd. anyway you can never get out of either end, so the time you gained running 50 or 60 is lost anyway.
