Louisiana 3002. between Range Ave and Rodeo Drive.

Denham Springs, LouisianaMar 31, 20111 Comments

Usually on left side of street on far side of old Winn Dixie building.
This is a reoccurring speed trap.
The officer(s) will usually be on far side of building and many times you won’t see them until it’s too late.

For some reason this section of street turns into a 25mph zone without a lot of warning. I think I’ve seen state cops here, too.

This spot seems to be a VERY big money maker for the police.

Comments:
Yes, this is most definitely a big income generator for Denham Springs. There is no "reduce speed ahead" sign. And no good reason to Drop the speed limit by 20 mph. I am looking for others to join me in filing a class action suit against this town. LA is a reasonable & prudent Law state. They need to show the public why this speed reduction is necessary and they need to Provide motorists with advanced notice of upcoming Reduction. This is zoned like a school zone, but I was Told it is not a school zone, but a residential zone. So is the area between the schools north of Florida Blvd., so why is that residential area set at 35 mph. They use this curve for their financial advantage, and stick it to a lot of guests just passing through. They must be stopped!
