My husband set the cruise control on the rental car to 55 and started slowing when he saw the 45 sign. The officer who pulled him over said he was going 56mph! Unless the rental car speedometer is extremely flawed, this was absolutely wrong!

I've been stopped by a cop there that lied about how fast I was going there too. I have a friend that lives there that I told about it, and he's been stopped by the same officer and was told he was pulled over because his tail lights were out. My friend got out to check before the guy wrote him a ticket and he caught him in the lie.
You know, it's amazing how many of our cars have the same defect in the speedometer driving through there. Mention that your speedometer said 45 and the next thing you know, they're trying to prowl through your car looking for drugs. It's rare that I say someone is more belligerent than Arcadia (another speed trap), but I think Luther managed to pull it off.
