Mack Avenue near Alter Road
Mack is boundery between Detroit and Grosse Pointe Park. Trap is from Alter to Cadieux Rd. Seem to be racial profiling of drivers. Enforced by Grosse Pointe police only.

I agree that there are LOTS of GP police monitoring speed in this area. However, having lived and driven in the area for many years I can't say I see any signs of racial profiling. It's only a 'trap' in that the speed limit lowers from 35 to 30 for that stretch and is enforced more by the GP police in GP than the Detroit police in Detroit. I don't think they care what color you are or what city you're from. If you speed more than 5 mph, you're likely to get a ticket. Is that a trap? Is that racial profiling? Or is it just a city that enforces its posted laws and collects its revenues?
