Beware going through this town on Rt. 157. Most of the town roads are all on one side of Main street so the cops have about 6 miles of Rt. 157 to patrol and patrol they do. The police station is at the edge of town and it’s not uncommon to see a patrol car in the parking lot of the police station watching cars exit town going west to Millinocket or going east as the cars enter town. Either way, they don’t burn much gas setting up this speed trap
