30mph on this road. 3mph over and it’s guaranteed you’ll see blue lights. Novi was basically a backwater town that became rich when all the yuppies all went upscale. In fact a downtown had to be "created" to make visitors think there’s some sort of history there.

Patrol is VERY stringent as the Novi cops have little else to do. I recently had my classic motorcycle confiscated due to the ignorant cops refusal to call the Secretary of State to validate whether my "authentic plate" was real or not. (Authentic and current plates aren’t in the same database). They didn’t know the law and I did. This made for a HUGE write up in the Novi newspaper about how inept the police really are. (My 5 minutes of fame)

But Meadowbrook is a known speed trap. There are so many cops that invariably one will at some point be behind you on your daily travels. I slow down to 10mph and hope that they pass me on the double yellow just as I’m focusing with my digital camera.
