Mile Marker 35 at the bottom of the hill looking at the west bound side

This is a popular site anytime of day, but I see MSP there 2-3 nights a week during my 5 day commute. About 50% of the time. They LOVE it in the dark, you can’t see them from beyond 1/6 of a mile, and they can nail you with laser from about 1/2 mile out. You won’t have a chance. They target the west bound drivers coming down the huge hill. As a 4 wheeler, I have never been pulled over there, and I routinely travel 73-745 through the trap. They are looking for anything over 75 on this stretch. They will sit in the median, in the crossover point.

Comments:
I see them here as well, as you said, especially at dusk and after when the DC commuters are coming home. Why they bother at that time is a mystery to me, traffic is usually so heavy that I would have trouble being over 75, I am far more likely to be flying going UP South Mountain. Personally, I think they are trying to nab 18 wheelers, who will be hauling down the mountain...
