mile marker 9 souhtbound I-95

Kingsland, GeorgiaApr 02, 20103 Comments

At about mile marker 11, the I-95 takes a wide curve to the left. Can’t see very far down the road. as the road straightens out, ther is a police turn around area in the median. Local and state troopers set up radar there very often and concentrate on the south bound traffic coming off the curve. Speed limit is 70..they’ll give you 75 most days. at 80, they hike your fine up almost double. Best to slow down a mile marker 12 and wait to see if they are watching..

Comments:
Police and State Troopers don't stop "anyone" at 75 mph in a 70 mph zone on the interstate in Georgia period! The fines are NOT doubled at 75 mph in a 70 mph zone. Law-enforcement is salaried and receives " no compensation" from speeding fines. A former Trooper!

Officers do pull people over and ticket them for going 75 in a 70 mph zone. As the post stated fines are doubled at 80 not 75. Which is in accordance with the "super speeder law" in Georgia. No where in the post was something about compensation stated. I believe you should actually read the post before you comment. It does not matter to me if you are a former trooper or not. You need to obviously brush up on the new laws and learn how to read properly.
