Miller Road right before/after Yavapai Elementary School

This speed camera will take your picture if you are not going EXACTLY 15 MPH or below. Be very careful.

The car in front of me basically stopped (girl texting) then she started moving. When I pushed the accelerator from a dead stop, boom. Picture taken. 701 North Miller Road is Yavapai Elementary.

The cameras are located on both the NORTH and the SOUTH part of the road before and after the school. They are short and squat near the crosswalk.

Comments:
Miller Road, between E Roosevelt Street and E McKellips Road, has two elementary schools - Yavapai and Zuni. Approaching these schools from the North or South directions, permanent speed signs read, SCHOOL SPEED LIMIT 30 7AM - 3:30PM SCHOOL DAYS. When school is in session (7AM - 3:30PM SCHOOL DAYS, as one might conclude from the previous signs), an additional low profile temporary sign is placed in the crosswalk indicating 15 mph. There are no posted 15 mph beginning or ending signs. Nor are there are additional safety measures, precautions, or warnings. But there is a photo camera ready to capture drivers exceeding 15 mph. This shameful, dangerous and inadequate arrangement reveals child safety is secondary to the practice of nefarious revenue generation. The inadequate safety could be a clear case of caring less about children attending a lower rated school with a higher non-white demographic. Whatever the case, child safety at this location is a sham and ticketing a scam.
