Moorehead Road near US Highway 49

Law enforcement usually hides in dark parking lots or in dark roads with radar on. They can be anywhere from Moorehead and Hwy 49 all the way up towards the Lowes speedway. Even late evenings after midnight.

Comments:
I live in this area and have done so for over 40 years. I appreciate the officers that patrol this residential area of Morehead Rd. I have observed numerous wrecks on this road and many of the cars involved have overturned with 1 fatality that I'm aware of. How do cars overturn on flat straight roads? The answer is EXCESSIVE SPEED! I have witnessed cars traveling this road in excess of 70 mph, but the average is around 50 mph. Where I live the speed limit is 35 mph and have almost been struck by speeding vehicles while attempting to leave my driveway. I would allow the police to sit in my driveway if they wanted to that way they won't have to hide!!!
