Mount Enterprise, Texas

I was traveling north through Mt. Enterprise. I was in a vehicle with out of state plates, ‘stuff’ in the back, luggage ect. and looked like the perfect patsy, someone who would just pay up rather than fight. It was April 28, 2010. However, I have a GPS which gives me the speed limits whereever I am and alerts me if I’m going too fast. I obey the speed laws to the letter. I have only had one ticket in 39 years of driving experience and one fender bender accident. This officer fell in behind me and followed me to the four way stop, the only one in town. This stop has both a flashing red light and a stop sign. When I pulled up to the intersection, there was a semi in front of me. The officer, David Collins turned on his lights while I was at the intersection, sandwitched between him and the semi truck. When I saw the lights, I proceeded through the intersection and pulled over into a gas station parking lot. He then proceeded to tell me that I had ran the ‘red light’ and wrote me a ticket, the fine of which was $165. He already had the ticket filled out and was gone in less than five minutes.
This little city is the second most lucrative traffic trap in the State of Texas. If I had been speeding, I would pay the fine and move on, but I did nothing wrong. He turned his lights on me before the ‘offense’ occurred. This is one dishonest operation. If you don’t speed through their town, they will pull you over anyway and give you a ticket for running their only red light/four way stop. I’m a 57 year old grandma….only one ticket in my entire life, only one minor accident 20 years ago.

I worked at Mt Enterprise for a short period. Marshall David Collins has a bad habit of taking cash on the side of the road, especially from Hispanics. I refused and was fired. He then harassed my wife and kids illegally stopping them while leaving the school to tell them if I didn't hurry up and turn in my uniforms he would arrest me for theft of city property My lawyer has filed suit and several law enforcement agency's have been notified. On may 8th 2012 he pulled me over while I was in my marked Sheriffs unit and told me it looked like I flipped him off and was going to report me for disorderly conduct.I told him he was a Punk and he was done for. He's an Idiot and his days are numbered,. He faces Federal Civil Rights Violations and the city or county can't cover for him anymore and all that has allowed this will have to answer why they let it go on for so long.

Marshall David Collins is setting speed traps at speed limit signs where you are transitioning from one speed to another speed. They (David Collins of Mount Enterprise) is setting up speed traps at the transition points where the speed changes. If you start to speed up when you see the higher speed limit sign, then you are stopped for speeding at the lower speed. David Collins sets at the 70 mph speed sign waiting. Yes I was in transition and yes I am wrong for speeding up early, but this is morally wrong of them to wait at that exact point. This human being is mad at the world and when he walked away from the vehicle, my kids say "He is mad at something or someone". It was obvious he was mad and hurting over something. BY the time he stopped me, I was about 1/2 a mile past the 70mph speed limit sign, and that was me stopping immediately when I saw the lights. Mount Enterprise needs to get a grip on this human being of a police officer so that he does not bring this good city down. Mount Enterprise, Do not let this one man put a bad name on your town. He is very disrupt and is hurting over something. Don't let this hurt bleed over into your town!! These type of people can destroy a town's view on outsiders. Push back against this disrupt person. Vote him out. Police officers are good people, but this person paints a bad name for police officers. 9/11/16.
