Setup here during morning rush hour – usually seen around 7 am. Drivers coming from Frederick, turning left from Rt. 85 onto Mouth of Monocacy Rd. are targeted. The patrol cars are not visible until it’s too late, and the officers using the radar stand on a small ridge next to the road (silhouetted by the early morning sun, indistinguishable from a distance) and flag down speeders as they pass, directing them into the nearby parking area.
